Exactly as described. High quality. No slop in hinge but not tight either. Although it came with screws, they were Philips flat head and I preferred slotted. Size not mentioned by Brusso. Also, I nickel plated for this application.

JB-804 Stop Hinge brass finish was perfect. Installation was made easy using my Shaper Origin however the same can be done with a hand router or chisel fairly easy. The hinge is very beefy and looks very strong. The size was perfect for my W14" X D8.6 X H4.5 Humidor box. If elegance is what you are after then this hinge will not disappoint.

I have never used a pivot hinge before. I had seen them on you tube and thought this would be perfect for the peace I am building. My only problem was I had already built the doors and cabinet. So cutting in the dads was some what a challenge. Not my best work but ok. I absolutely love these hingesand will definitely be using them again. Thank you Bill schult
The hinges looked fine but... the screws were inconsistent in size and the countersink on the hinges weren't deep enough so the screws didn't sit flush causing binding in the closed position. I had to deepen the countersink and purchase better quality screws to get them to work correctly.
I Think if it’s worth doing it should be done right. I am a stickler for accuracy and consistency. I have checked the tolerance of the hinges with a micrometer
And caliper and your spot on! Funny thing is when I tell normal folks how much I charge for a box they are a little bit skeptical at first but once they see and feel how the lid closes so smoothly and the lid to carcass seam nearly vanishes and that classic brass just pops. I always say” you wouldn’t put cheap tires on a Ferrari would you? So I don’t put home center hinges on my boxes.
Love these hinges. I use two of the Brusso TJ-103 hinge mortise jigs which make the installation of these hinges effortless.
I love this latch. I cheat and use CNC to cut the mortise prior to glueing up the box. I allow 1/8 inch for the table saw kerf when cutting off the lid. It works great!
Exceptionally fine hardware, as is all Brusso product.
