Attached are some great photos from our customer Ethan. Here's some notes from the email he sent in:
Attached are photos of my NYPD Pipe and Drums Sgian Dubh presentation box. It is made with Honduran mahogany (non-figured and curly) and Irish bog oak. The tartan lining is the Irish National Tartan; the lining is 8oz wool, made by a mill in Scotland. I use scrap wool tartan material that is left over from kilts made by the only American kilt maker who was trained in Scotland.
I made the box with a Greene&Greene influence - mahogany wood, exposed and pillowed box joints, dark wood inlay. It was a new design idea for me and I think it really played out well. I'd like to make more like this in the future. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for making such great products!
Cheers,
Ethan
