This project was submitted by Bob Fontana and features our JB-102 stop hinges. The box's exterior is made from bigleaf maple wood. The box's marquetry is made from quartersawn sycamore, Chechen rosewood, sapele, aspen, pink ivory and Macassar ebony. The box is banded in Hawaiian Koa wood and additional decorations include crushed malachite and azurite stone.

     "I am a retired Electrical Engineer and have worked with marquetry for the past 10 years. Many of my designs are inspired by the beautiful Japanese woodblocks of the 18th century, and by Chinese and Japanese mythology.
