The brass square knuckled full mortise side rail hinge is engineered with a built-in stop that allows a lid to remain open at a 95° angle. These hinges are milled from 1/4" [6 mm] thick solid brass stock to precise dimensions and are designed to last a lifetime. They feature stainless steel hinge pins and our standard Brusso burnished finish. The leaf measures 1/2" [13 mm] wide x 2" [51 mm] long. The inset is 1-3/4" [44 mm] long. The hinge is sold in pairs unhanded with brass screws included.

A customer requested a custom box roughly 11” x 7” x 4”high… larger than my typical boxes. The top was quite heavy and the large side-rail hinges were called for. I used a straight router bit to make the mortises, and the result was perfect. They’re strong, have the 95 degree stop, and look beautiful.
The SR 680 hinges were of exceptional quality and really added to the presentation of the jewelry box I made.
